Image Enhancer

Improve JPG, PNG or WebP photos online with automatic brightness, contrast, color, shadow, highlight and sharpness correction, then fine-tune the result manually.

About Image Enhancer

Image Enhancer analyzes the tonal range and overall color balance of a photo, applies a conservative automatic correction, and lets you fine-tune brightness, contrast, saturation, temperature, highlights, shadows, sharpness and noise reduction before exporting at the original resolution.

Common use cases

Improve small web images

Enhance a modest-resolution image before using it in a presentation, product card or web layout where a cleaner appearance is more important than forensic fidelity.

Recover perceived sharpness

Use enhancement when an image looks soft after resizing, messaging-app compression or an older export.

Prepare a better working copy

Create an improved derivative before subsequent tasks such as cropping, OCR or document presentation.

How it works

1

The enhancement pipeline analyzes and processes the image in the browser using the available enhancement engine.

2

The operation can improve perceived clarity and scaling, but generated or sharpened detail should not be treated as original captured evidence.

3

The enhanced result is rendered as a new image file for comparison and download.

Privacy & file handling

Enhancement is designed for browser-side processing

The supported enhancement workflow runs on the user's device rather than requiring the original image to be sent to Zavilo as a conversion upload.

Limitations and important notes

  • No enhancement method can reliably reconstruct every real-world detail missing from the source.
  • Very noisy, motion-blurred or severely compressed images may still show artifacts.
  • Do not treat enhanced pixels as authoritative evidence for identity, legal or forensic decisions.

Tips for better results

  • Auto Enhance is intentionally conservative. Fine-tune individual sliders when the image needs a stronger creative look.
  • Use Shadows to recover dark areas without brightening the entire image.
  • Reduce Highlights when bright regions are close to clipping.
  • Apply Denoise lightly because strong smoothing can remove fine detail.
  • A small amount of Sharpness usually works better than extreme sharpening.

Frequently asked questions

Does Image Enhancer increase the image resolution?

No. This Tool improves tone, color and local detail while keeping the source resolution. AI upscaling is a different workflow.

What does Auto Enhance change?

It analyzes image brightness, tonal range and color balance, then proposes conservative values for brightness, contrast, saturation, temperature, highlights, shadows and sharpness.

Can I adjust the automatic result manually?

Yes. Every automatic value remains editable with the sliders before export.

Which file formats can I use?

Check the file picker and tool description for the supported formats. Available formats can vary by tool.
