Translate Embedded Video Subtitles

Find a text subtitle track embedded in an MP4 or MKV video, translate it into another language, and download a matching SRT subtitle file.

How to use the translated subtitle

  1. The translated subtitle is downloaded as a separate SRT file. The original video is not changed.
  2. The file name is created from the video name plus the language code, for example movie.mkv → movie.vi.srt.
  3. Keep the video and SRT in the same folder. Most video players can then let you select the external subtitle.

  • The downloaded subtitle uses the video file name plus the target language code, such as movie.mkv and movie.vi.srt.
  • Keep the video and SRT file in the same folder so compatible video players can find the external subtitle easily.
  • Text subtitles such as mov_text, SubRip, ASS/SSA and WebVTT can be processed; image-based subtitles cannot.
